In 2019 visitors to the Geneva International Motor Show could once again look forward to an appearance from premium automobile brand Cadillac – 30 years on from its European debut. Relatively small in comparison with major public shows, the Swiss city has always been the preferred venue for manufacturers of high-end vehicles.
With over 1,000 square metres available, the highlights of the stand were the latest Cadillac models and an extravagant glass façade. Its aluminium and stainless-steel construction was planned and built by Winkels and featured chromatic glazing which could be electrically switched between a satined and clear setting. Visitors were also fascinated by the “Iris”: A circular steel structure of 18 metres in diameter containing 200 specially produced aluminium tubes with illuminated acrylic tips. The concept for the stand created a fantastic space for the presentation of the new XT5 alongside many other Cadillac vehicles.
