Every four years Dusseldorf plays host to Drupa – the world’s largest trade fair for print media. Winkels has designed and built the Koehler Paper Group’s stand for the last 15 years and performed the same role for the group’s subsidiary Katz GmbH & Co. KG for the last 10 years. Each and every one of the firms’ appearances at the event is based on a new concept developed by our Design department.

At the latest edition of Drupa the two stands stood opposite one another and were connected by a specially approved floor covering. This merged the two exhibition spaces – which were 304 and 80 square metres in area respectively – to create a single unit that no visitor could fail to notice. The combined stand presented the group’s various brands and differentiated between their respective worlds with the aid of colour codes and brand-specific zones. Signs with messages such as “Koehler under your feet!” drew attention to the fact that the products produced by the paper factory were integrated into the materials used to create the stand: In laminate flooring, coated panels and the product samples exhibited in the various brand worlds.
