Held in Milan, the Euroluce trade fair is renowned as a beacon for the international lighting industry and a forum for technology, innovation and design culture. Working in close cooperation with architecture studio “1 zu 33”, we helped create a 400-square-metre brand world for Occhio, a Munich-based manufacturer of stylish modular lighting. The result was a stand that highlighted the firm’s broad product range, explored numerous areas of application and demonstrated the infinite ways in which light can be used to create, shape and enhance space.
Euroluce welcomes huge numbers of visitors in the shape of lighting specialists and the general public alike. This was a challenge given the customer’s desire to create and maintain enough space for the attractive presentation and demonstration of their premium lighting. The solution was to divide the stand into separate zones, each of which was accessible to a specific group of visitors. An opaque exterior façade reminiscent of a high-rise building, specially selected partition modules and a variety of floor heights were used to create unobtrusive lines of demarcation between the various zones and control the flow of visitors through the stand.
