FISU World University Games 2025: Tailormade exhibition and event solutions for the Rhine-Ruhr region

For the FISU World University Games 2025, we executed three major projects across the Rhine-Ruhr region, providing complete exhibition stand construction, project management, production and assembly in close collaboration with the respective design partners.

In 23 locations across 5 cities (Bochum, Duisburg, Mülheim, Hagen, Essen), 5.6 km of modular system walls were installed to create flexible spaces and partitions, which was our city-wide first FISU project.

For the opening ceremony on July 16, 2025, at the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena in Duisburg, an impressive stage was constructed featuring a 33-meter LED wall, LED towers and podiums, all supported by wooden substructures and clad with blockout fabric. Both the spectators at the venue and the viewers on TV experienced a firework display of emotions, while impressive artists and athletes put on an unforgettable show together.

Meanwhile, Hall 8 at Messe Essen was transformed into the Delegation Lounge for international athletes. Designed in a typical „Ruhrgebiet“- style, the space included food areas, relaxation zones, kiosks, corten steel walls and large-scaled images, creating a comfortable and functional environment. The execution combined Bematrix system frame construction, graphic banners, carpets, and planter boxes for a cohesive look.

The exhibition stand design and overall stand architecture of the FISU World University Games 2025 successfully merged functionality, design and logistics, offering both athletes and visitors an unforgettable experience.
