Celebrations for the Anniversary: 150 Years of Brenntag

In 2024, Brenntag, the world’s leading distributor of chemicals and ingredients, celebrated its 150th anniversary. Throughout the anniversary year, numerous events took place that celebrated the company’s impressive history with employees, business partners, and other stakeholders. The highlight of the celebrations was in October, when events were held worldwide – including an archive exhibition, an employee event, an exclusive customer and supplier gathering, and a formal ceremony in Essen, Brenntag’s current headquarters.

We at Winkels Interior had the privilege – in collaboration with Vok Dams – of equipping various locations and contributing to the success of the celebrations:

1. Archive Exhibition at the House of Elements, Essen

At the impressive exhibition in the House of Elements, we provided tailored solutions with our expertise:

• Display cases for showcasing archived documents and historical objects from 150 years of Brenntag’s history.
• Light boxes and Forex pictures with historical graphics that supported the visual representation of the company’s development.

2. Employee Day at the Colosseum Theater, Essen

For Employee Day, dedicated to the employees, we designed the event environment with the following features:

• Graphics in various areas of the theater that portrayed the anniversary and company history in an impactful way.
• A 1.8-meter-high 3D exhibit in the shape of the letter “B,” symbolizing Brenntag, on which all employees could sign.

3. Ceremony in the Grand Hall of the Zollverein Foundation, Essen

For the grand closing event in the historic Grand Hall on the premises of the Zollverein Coal Mine, attended by, among others, Chancellor Olaf Scholz, we provided the following services:

• Graphics, custom structures, and stage coverings that enhanced the unique ambiance of the event and visually highlighted Brenntag’s 150-year history.
