Taking “Enabling Future Mobility” as its motto, automotive supplier Brose greeted visitors to its stand at the IAA in September 2019 with a variety of extraordinary mobility experiences. The family-owned firm offers a range of future-oriented solutions such as self-opening doors, collision protection systems, flexible interiors and thermal management concepts. Brose Antriebstechnik was also at the event to present its drive systems for e-bikes, which comprise nothing but Brose drive units, displays and batteries.

Winkels is a Brose Key Supplier and has long been responsible for the design and production of the firm’s stands at the IAA. The brief is associated with a number of special challenges: The stand is located in the “Europa” hall, which is not a classically bare exhibition space, but a fully equipped conference hall with a foyer and tall glass façades. All plans are subjected to a heightened level of scrutiny due to the unconventional way in which the space is used. Existing FF&E such as carpet, lighting and wall claddings are protected, façades carefully measured and various room-specific circumstances fully integrated into the detailed concept. Incalculable factors such as the weather and the resultant lighting conditions also put our designers and lighting technicians through their paces.
